My biggest question here is how do I make this $839.93 turn into $739.93 or in other words make this about $100 cheaper. Any promotional codes or buying strats anyone know out there? Should I edit the build and if so what can I skimp on? Thanks a lot for the help ahead of time!

I'd say that youve improved on the build overall and saved yourself some money into the bargain,
Mobo's the same chipset, Processors better although black edits are aimed at Clockers, as your not intending on that you could choose a cheaper quad maybe.

I strongly suggest getting 2 or 3 gb's of RAM instead of four , that could save you up to 70 bucks i recon. Also there are some very 4XXX range cards that rightfully challenge the 5xxx series. I will look into that for you.

@Proximon I can't do the CM because of the current processor combo and also the case I already chose is fairly cheap with that combo.

@Moto I will look into a cheaper quad, if you have a link don't hesitate Thanks also!

@rolfmaomachi I think I want to stick with 4, reason being, I would feel silly reverting to the amount my current laptop has (3). Ha ha And it's faster! Although I am interested in what you come up with.

What do you guys think about down grading the GPU at all considering that combo with my case is almost $400, and when I look at the cart that is what pops and says DANG. Let me know what you think.

Edit :: I was looking at the AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition for a possible cheaper Processor because it is $25 cheaper and comes with $10 gift card. Although with the current combo I have with my processor and memory, I am not sure it will get any better lol. Check this combo out of the AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition and a MOBO

Hey THANKS A LOT! for looking into the GPUs because I don't know exactly what to look for to get the best bang for my buck. Although, I found this GPU if you wouldn't mind taking a look and comparing between the one you posted and this. I see that the only downside to the one I suggested was 128-bit as opposed to 256-bit for the memory interface. If anyone could explain exactly what the memory interface's role in the card is I would be very grateful [I do understand hardware/software jargon ]

P.S - I wouldn't mind the GPU being anywhere from $150-$200 but the cheaper and quality the better. Also if you just want to point me in the direction of an article on GPUs that would be fine. THANKS GUYS

The 5770 you found is a good card though, I'm buying two soon although I'm going for the Sapphire ones, they vent heat out the rear of the case.

Thanks to moto I found this GPU. It is 129.99 and it seems to compare with these other two we are talking about, the only weakness would be the 700 MHZ clock as opposed to 750 and 850. Is this a huge problem for my needs?

It seems to be based on a 5750, a slightly lower card as you picked up,
the clock speeds a fair bit lower, and I read that Xfx cards can have heating issues hence my decision to go for one that vents out the back,
One thing you will find is that different manufacturers use the same chipset I.E. a 5770 is basically a 5770 whether its Xfx, Sapphire, or joe bloggs cards etc, but each company tweaks the basic setup to make theirs a little different, As I said I'm sticking with Sapphire for my other halfs build and for my own upgrade too,mainly because of the venting on them and yes, The 850 clock one will perform slightly better than the 750.
