Phenom II X4 965 @ 4.0Ghz Vs i7 920 stock

Just out of curiosity which one would be faster?

Well, if the AMD were at 4.0GHz and the i7 920 at stock... which is at 2.66GHz, the AMD would surely be faster with the programs out now days, but if you were doing intense video rendering or something along those lines, The i7 920 will be faster because of its multi-threading. (AMD has 4, i7 has 8)
