Suggestions for new build

I'm going to building my new rig soon. I currently have a Q6600 @3.4Ghz with 4 Gigs of OCZ Ram and PNY 9800 GTX with MSI Neo MB. I've got plenty of storage (Four 1 TB drives and two 400Gb drives raided)I'm looking for suggestions as I will convert the parts from my current build into an HTPC. I wanna build a power house machine but like most people, i'm on a constrained buget. I'm not a noob but I'm looking for feedback. I'll have arround $1500 or so to play with but I want to get the most bang for my buck since I don't always have the time to shop around because of my work schedule. Any help would be appreciated

What exactly are you looking for in this computer? Gaming, Video editing, Photoshop? You never know...

Gaming and Video and Photo Editing. I would like to get an i7 but my money is saying otherwise. So input is always appreciated

Two contradictory goals. The main requirement for an HTPC sitting beside a TV is silence. It really takes very little CPU and GPU power to pull video off a hard drive and display it on a TV.

If you do a lot of Video Editting or 3d modeling, go with the i7, the hyper-threading is worth it. Also, make sure to get at least 8 gigs of ram, it helps AE's rendering times a lot.
