I recently re-installed windows xp. While searching for a folder, I noticed that my hard drive had only 12 gb of unused space remaining on the disc. The partition is 38 gb. I thought when I re-installed, it removed the other windows xp from the hard drive and replaced it but it did not. There's two windows xp operating systems on my hard drive, how do I delete one?

Go into Disk Management, right-click the old Windows partition and format it.

If Windows won't allow it, boot from a CD containing GParted and do it that way.
Just make sure you format the correct partition since there will be no Windows running to prevent you from formatting the wrong one!

GParted is here: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/
