APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within 4 weeks

BUDGET RANGE: Because this is not a primary machine, but secondary and mainly used for my young children I would like to keep it as low as possible to make use of the video card I acquired which is an Nvidia GTX-280 1G.

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: surfing the internet, gaming

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS, video card (Nvidia GTX-280 1G)

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com, or tigerdirect.com but open to other retailers.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: None, but need to be good quality. AMD or Intel is fine.

OVERCLOCKING: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1440x900 on one of my 19 inch LCD monitors.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I'm looking to build a system that will utilize a Nvidia GTX-280 1G card I have. I don't want the system to be so under powered that the Nvidia GTX-280 1G card is under used but it does not need to be blazing speedy expensive. It will be used for some games, but is not a primary gamer and will be used primarily for web surfing, web games, little kid games, and the occasional 3d game like racing, flying sims/games etc.

It seems my delay may have missed out on some special combo deals to save $$ or I'm not finding the same links as the picture above via my searching. Here is what I have in my cart right now, but I don't have a power supply. If I can cut a few more $$ before I submit and not lose too much I'm open to suggestions.

Here are the current prices and links which right now is higher than what I was quoted above :-( to the tune of about $430.

You mean more for less? LOL.

What I mean is that you want DDR3 for the DDR3, 1600 capable MOBO dont you?
The RAM for 99-110 is DDR3 1600 which is supported by the MOBO, is cheaper and its Corsair, G Skill or Crucial.

Still have not made a final decision on this one. I'm hoping to do it soon. The gtx280 is in use right now as my primary card in my primary machine was sent back RMA. Hope to get that back asap and then order parts.
