not quite sure what you asking for

if you are adding a new drive to your server then the drive is showing as unallocated because it doesn't have a filesystem on it yet. you would need to format it as NTFS and then assign a drive letter to begin using it.

unallocated space is not a partition which could not be recognized in my computer. To make partition on unallocated space, you could use windows build-in disk management. How to partition it you can refer to this article: http://www.partition-magic-windows7.com/res/partition-h...

You should add the unallocated space to a partition to enlarge the size of the partition, here's a tutorial which adapt to windows server 2003/2008 etc. Click here to read this tutorial.
