i hv got one hp pavilion which is of 4gb internal memory and 640gb memory hdd....almost 44gb is missing....why????? plz help me...
It is simple, firstly a actual gigabyte is 1024 megabytes, but manufacturers create gigabytes as 1000 megabytes. So you will always be lower than what it claims on the box. Secondly HP will have a system restore partition of the hard drive of about 20 gigabytes (Usually this number can be different.) These figures should account fro the 44 gigabyte difference you notice.
