I am building a system for
-video editing
-photoshop
-rendering 3d objects in programs like Google sketchup
-general web browsing and word processing
-occasional light gaming (CS:S)

What would be the best processor for me? I was looking at the i5 760, and was basically set on that, but I can get a i7 920 for about $20 more, and a AM3 1055t for about the same price as the i7.

Would the extra two cores of the AM3 1055T really provide me with an extra benefit over the other intel processors?

Thanks

intel will be the best suitable because it has 8MB cache.and in rendering and in video processing cache plays a great part.
if you are going to use 3dsmax 2010 intel i7 920 will be the best....

So the additional 2 cores still wouldn't benefit me?

Thanks for the quick reply. How does the i7 860 stack up against the i7 920?
