Intel core 2 quad Q8200 vs I5

I dont want to spend a bunch of money upgrading to an i5 or i7 (most likely i5) if its not significantly better than my existing Q8200. I will be buying an EVGA Geforce GTX260 core216. Ill have to upgrade my motherboard too, wont I? What are your thoughts?

The 1156 boards are reasonably priced, but 4 gigs of ddr3 is still $100 where I live. So if you are currently using ddr2, I would use what you have unless you find a buyer.
