Small suggestion... Get the 955 BE instead of the 965 and save $20. Just change the multiplier yourself. =]

Is there a significant difference between the GA-790XTA-UD4 and the GA-890FXA-UD5? Or, to be more precise, is it worth the extra $62? The 890FXA can run Crossfire in x16/x16 instead of x8/x8, but I understand the effective difference is pretty minimal. They both have USB 3 and SATA 3 for future upgradability.

I'd say it depends if you plan on upgrading video cards with this build in the future. I don't think 4850 will be bottle-necked by 8x, but a more powerful card might see a small decrease.

The 790XTA has SATA 6GB/s but remember: via Marvell Controller (2 Ports) whilst its 8090FX has native support via SB 850 (6 ports) which has also ironed out I/O performance from previous SB 750 Either way if u are willing to go 8/8 that 790X is overpriced so i'd rather hit this @ $95
