I have a small to mid-size tower that I put 1 120 mm case fan and 1 140 mm case fan on the side panel. Now, my question is about the 140 mm case fan. Is it bad that the 140 mm case fan is blowing directly towards the CPU fan? It doesn't seem to be affecting the CPU fan because it is spinning on its own, but will it have an effect on the cooling process since they are basically just blowing the air to each other? If you need more info, please let me know!

You could use CoreTemp or other temp. sensing software to see the temps with your current config., then disconnect a side fan, check the temps, reconnect the side fan and disconnect the other side fan, check the temps. Then choose the config that gives the best results. Don't disconnect the CPU fan.

i hope so. but for some reason the mainboard temp is what gets a little hotter than expected..between 50c and 60c at times when only surfing the internet and on Steam. what could be the cause of that?? or is that normal temp?

depends i guess. I consider the "top end" Artic Silver stuff to be overkill in terms of price. But the standard stock stuff is usually cheap shitty mass-bought crap.

PLus it dries out over time - so if its been a while since you replaced it - might be worth having a looksee at least.
