Question on installing XP

Hi guys,

I've been wondering if there are things to consider before installing an OS on my cousin's laptop, I've never done it on a laptop before but I've done it on my desktop. Another thing also is, if a laptop is windows 7 ready, but he wanted to go for XP, is the laptop backwards compatible with it?

Check the laptop manufacturer's website. If it is W7-ready, you may have difficulty finding the hardware drivers you will need for XP.
