HDD for games storage

Do you need 7200 RPM for storing games? I'll be using a 128gb SSD for my OS, but I'll probably be storing most of my games on an HDD.

I already bought one, but it's only 5400 RPM, and I'm wondering if it's worth returning it to upgrade to 7200rpm and a 64mb cache.

Here's the one I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152245
Basically a seagate barracuda green.

  1. 7200RPM spindle speed is not vital for game storage, but the slower green drive will make your loading times longer when playing. If you are concerned about load times, or are really impatient, get the faster drive. If you don't mind waiting a little bit longer on the loading screens, the green drive will get the job done.
