Scientific computing workstation advice

Hello all,

I'm in the process of putting together a PC for scitentific computing for an engineering lab. We will use Comsol, Matlab, and some very basic CAD. I intend on running Windows 2008 Server so that we can have 2 administrator users logged in remotely at the same time.

I'm looking for feedback. Does this setup look solid? I could have gone the Xeon route, but it seems that we get less bang for our buck considering the usage. I also don't think ECC seems critical here.

One concern I have is that the motherboard won't be fully compatible with Windows 2008 server. However, I have read Vista 64 bit drivers usually work for 2008 Server.
