Hi Everyone,
My situation is as follows:
I would like a new hard drive to record Fraps videos onto. I've heard the HDD needs to have a fast read/write speed and not be external (like my current setup) and not be onto the same HDD where Fraps or the game is installed.
I have tested my current HDD which is a 500GB Seagate 7200.12 and it is read/writing at about 120MB/sec. Now obviously for some reason, you can't record onto the same HDD as Fraps is installed because it lags a lot.
I have been searching around endlessly to find out that Green Eco drives are no good because they 'go to sleep'?
Which HDD should I buy?
The F4EG is around £85 and the Caviar Black is around £120. Both 2TB HDDs. My budget is around £100.
Feel free to add any more HDDs you think would be suited to my situation.
My System:
CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1090T
RAM: 4GB
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 OC
HDD1: Seagate 500GB 7200.12
HDD2 (USB ext): 1TB WD My Book Elite
