Which CPU for this build?

The 1055T would put me over budget but would be worth it *IF* the 955 would be the bottle neck with the above mobo & vid card. Guesses & gut feelings are cool, I won't hold you too it.<grin>
I'm doing video processing.

Even an Athlon X4 wont bottleneck the 5770 for gaming, the 5770 is simply a mid-range card.

But video editing is totally independent from the GPU, and the 1055T would improve performance.

It doesn't matter that the FSB is a 870?

Otherwise I like that mobo! (and with the mobo savings I'd feel better getting the 1055T).

FSB? Thats the NB.
870 is just 880 without the IGP, which you dont need because youre getting a HD5770.9

I'm gong with the 1055T & the ASRock mobo. Since I don't really game and a better video card isn't necessary.
