I am going to buy ST750LX003 hybrid hard-drive, which is currently the leader of the Seagate Momentus XT family. I like its performance, however, unlike standard seagate hard-drives it has no G-Force protection feature.
So, I am curious, whether this fall-protection technology really works, and whether someone had tested it or there exist some statistics. I am also trying to estimate the degree of its necessity. Any links to studies of this technology?
