This is the first time I've actually gotten around to having all the components in a cart to build a basic gaming computer, so I would like to get peoples opinions on the parts I have chosen. A few things to note, I have an nzxt case to put everything in already, as well as a 700w Apevia psu already in my possession. I bounced around between the intel I7 930and the amd 1090t.

CPU

I had a $1000 budget, and this comes out to ~$821, so any suggestions are welcome.

what about the power supply and the case?if the computer is for gaming get a cheaper processor like a i5 750 or even a amd phenom ii x4 955 and get a 5850 or 5870 instead, for gaming the gpu is more important then the processor, and either way the x4 955 and the i5 750 are still very powerful.

I think you should change the PSU for the ocz 600w, which is a better quality PSU
