400 series vs 5xxx series||opinions and discussion

What is your opinion on the newly released 400 series by nVidia?

Would you prefer 5XXX ATI card or a 400 series NVIDIA card? Why or why not?

Personally, id go ATI on this one

1. Power Consumption/performance for the mid to high cards
2. Heat production is minimal
3. Performance gain from the last 4xxx series is a major boost
4. Price is very reasonable

This is coming from a long time nvidia supporter/fan

What are your thoughts?

my thoughts is the same as yours, i have a 5850 and im very happy. i have overclocked it to 950/1250 and it doesnt go much over 70C under load :)  but still id like a GTX 480 just for tesselation and futureproofing but i wont be buying one, im waiting for ATI 6xxx series :)

Simply discuss both in the sticky threads in this section.
I know that your purpose is to know the general ideas but we have had lots of threads like this and all turned in to a flame-war

Haven't been doing much research on tesselation

What is it? A way it renders the images?
