I have a G wireless router on an old computer that I want to get online. My new router on my main computer is an N. I cannot seem to get online. How can I fix this?

I suspect you may be confusing wireless router with wireless adapter-- the thing that is attached to or installed in the computer.

A very small number of older g wireless adapters (for example Inventel) don't seem to work with n wireless routers -- won't even detect them.

If no other solution is obvious (like switching wireless security type) save time and just put a new wireless adapter in the old computer.
