New HDD is causing issues.... Tags: Hard Drives Performance Storage Last response: August 4, 2012 2:46 AM in Storage Share xGhost4000x August 4, 2012 2:30:56 AM So I installed one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005T3GRNW/ref=oh_deta... When I formatted the drive I had severe performance issues, since then anytime I do anything with the drive I get those issues. I ran a benchmark and got 9.1 MB/s write and 2.67 MB/s read. Additionally none of my other drives impact system performance. I thought it was a bad drive and had it replaced, the issue persists. Does anyone know what could be wrong? I'm going to try a different SATA port.
