My Asus M2N-68 states it can use DDR2 1066 MHZ ram

So i bought DDR2 1066 Mhz and put it in,

It by default clocked it at 800MHZ,

so firstly i clocked the cam voltage at 2.1 as i heard somewhere.

that didnt work

then i turned the mhz frequency from auto to the max 533Mhz (1066) and left voltage at 2.1

boot failed, cleared bios memory

tried again setting latencies manualy 5 5 5 18,

failed, then tried 5 5 5 16

failed, then tried 5 5 5 25

failed, then tried 5 5 5 15

failed then i tried all above settings with memory from 533 back to auto.

then...

would boot and show 1066MHZ but over clock failed (only stock AI OC of %10)

then i tried upping the cpu voltage from 1.35 to 1.41 volts.

same problem..no change

then tried with stock cpu settings and it works... (x3 core @ 2.8GHZ)

can only run stock cpu specs without overclock to achieve 1066 MHZ,

BTW i have a 700 watt psu so theirs no issue of powering

also the memory is Xram silicon power DDR2 1066.

Im wanting to use my usal overclock but spec my ram at 1066. (3.3 GHZ)

Please help. Thanks guys

If you overclock by 10% with fsb it will increase your memory speed by 10% which your noname ram can not handle. To keep a overclock on the CPU you will have to slow down the ram or adjust CPU to Ram ratio so it does not exceed its speed rating.
