How to get win7 to recognize a second ssd

I have 2 vertex ssd drives and one regular mech. hd I only plugged in one loaded windows 7 and now win7 won't reconize 2nd ssd drive. Any suggestiopns

If the SSD is recognized in your motherboard's BIOS then go into Windows Disk Management, create a simple volume for the drive, Quick format it, and assign it a drive letter.
