Trying to upgrade an old computer for a SUPER low budget. ~$300 if possible. I have a few things in mind already on Newegg (the best website I know; is there any better for cheap hardware?) MSI Radeon HD 5750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card ($135), Foxconn AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard ($40), G.SKILL 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory ($50) (in addition to my old 2GB RAM), AMD Athlon II X3 440 Rana 3.0GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor Model ($75). Altogether comes out to be $300. This is the more expensive one I got in mind.
There is a cheaper one, with a mobo/CPU deal of a BIOSTAR A770E AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard and AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Processor for ($90). This one would come out to $275. Would the cheaper one be worth the $25 difference? Or would it be worth it to shell out $300? Thanks!
