1:15 to boot to Win7 on SSD. WHAT?!

Just got an Intel SSD 330 Series 120GB. From fresh install of Win 7 Ult 64 Bit, boot times vary from 1 min to about 1:30. TRIM enabled, AHCI enabled, drivers installed and partition is aligned. Any thoughts?

When are you starting your stopwatch? You should be starting after POST finishes and Windows 1st begins t load.

I included the inital 5 seconds or so of POST time in the boot. I downloaded the intel ssd toolbox and optimized the drive and it still is booting quite slow. the drive is great once it gets to the desktop but that boot time bothers me, especially with it being brand new.

Wow, 5 seconds from pressing the power/reset button to finishing POST is really quick.

Go into BIOS and verify that your SSD is your 1st boot device. If you have options for 2nd & 3rd boot devices set them to "Disabled".

I will check into that but if the SSD is already loading Windows, where does that leave any issue with its setting within the BIOS? Windows has taken over by that time.

Yeah, you're right. That was a dumb suggestion.

Not dumb but good observation. However, I may note that the drive went from 15 second load times to that current time after updates to drivers/windows etc.
