Idk what ram to get cause I'm pinching every dollar.

I'm thinking of going with 3GB of ram vs 4GB giving me a 20-30 price difference but how would performance do?

the performance of the ram should be fine, even with 3gb. but i think you might be able to get 4gb. this should be good. and just OC the cpu after. but if you are really after those last dollars, go with 3gb. shouldnt have that big of an impact.

It will run in single channel mode. You should get a 2x2GB kit; the additional cost only is $12-$15 and it's worth it.

That combo is more expensive than the OP's parts selection. The proposed motherboard requires DDR3, but you selected DDR2.
