Boot error message help?

Forum Motherboards & Memory : Motherboards Boot error message help?

Word :    Username :

I just built my new computer from scratch for the first time (Hell of an achievement for me)

and everything seems to be working fine, except I get this little booting error message saying

"No hard disk found"

or something like that, I'll post a link to show you exactly what I'm talking about

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9AIK3u7XiU

again, everything else seems to be working fine, cpu, cooler, gfx card, ram, etc

I'm afraid I might have done something terribly wrong.

Please help!

If the HDD is working fine, then it will probably be that another SATA controller is enabled with nothing plugged in to it. In that case, disable it (it is probably a Marvell controller).

If the HDD isn't working, check the data cables are correctly plugged into both of the drive and the motherboard, and that the power cable is plugged into the HDD.
