Which is best for gaming, 4gigs of memory or more?

How much memory is good to have for gaming on a 64bit os? 4gigs or more?

4GB is still the "sweet spot" for gaming but some games ( very few at this point ) run better with 8GB. DDR3 is so cheap now more and more people are going with 8GB. I did.

That is for 64 bit OS correct?

Yep. 32bit OS can only "see" 3.25GB or so.
