Noob HDMI question

Do I need a mobo with a HDMI port or is it just as easy to use the HDMI port on the gpu to connect to my HD LCD TV? do some mother boards have hdmi for use with on board gpu?

tried searching but "no dice".

You can use the hdmi on a graphics card no bother but you also do get some mobo's with a hdmi port as well, either will do fine for basic computer use although not for gaming if using an onboard gpu.
