Hey, I am a big Starcraft 2 fan and Im looking to buy a relativly cheap PC, preferably as a bundle with the sole purpose to play SC2 for over the summer.

What would you say is the best and cheapest setup to play it maxed out at 1280x1024 ?

I live in the UK.

P.S. I did read tom's article on the graphics card comparison, so probably even a 9800gt will do me, problem is that was with a i7-930 which Im sure I do not need.

Dirt cheap SC2 rig

AthlonII X3
770/785G chipset
GTS 250
80+ 400-500w PSU
2-4 GB DDR3
good to go up to 1680 x 1050 SC2 so 1280 x 1024 = LOL

Thank you, that build does indeed seem best.

Just to double check it would play SC2 at ultimate settings at a comfortable fps at 1280x1024 and/or 1680x1050 ?
