Crosshair III, crossfire 5850, sound card question

I'll start off with my basic specs. for my computer:

ASUS Crosshair III Formula AM3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard

CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2 (PSU)

Radeon HD 5850 x2 Crossfire

either Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium, or ASUS Xonar D2X 7.1 (Sound Card)

My question is whether it is even possible for this setup to work. The reason I'm asking is the motherboard supports crossfire, and has two PCI-E slots for dedicated cards (aka my sound card). Anyone with some experience with this motherboard that could tell me if there is enough room on the board to have a sound card in between the GPU's?

It's not possible, if the sound cards are PCI-e 1x which I'm assuming they are. There is only one PCI slot in between the cards, and you can't use either white PCI-e 1x slots because they're blocked by the dual slot cards. The black PCI-e 1x slot next to the first graphic card slot is dedicated to the Crosshair III Formula's Supreme FX X-Fi card sound card, and cannot be used with any other type of sound card as the slot is reversed.
