Hi,

I was wondering if a 7200 RPM laptop HDD is necessarily slower than a 7200 RPM desktop HDD.

I Googled and read a lot of conflicting views so I was hoping the Community can please answer my concern.

I honestly don't really see a difference.

Thanks :-)

If they are identical in aspect of everything
"Laptop"
7200rpm
32mb cache
sata III

Desktop
7200rpm
32mb cache
sata III

then sure there is no difference if they are identical. But it also depend on rest of specs.
