Hi

I might get ATI 4670, 1GB for some cheap bucks, so just wanted to know if its good.

Currently i have Geforce 9400 GT with 2.6GHZ Dual Core.

Check the below link

=on&prod[2108]=on&prod[2112]=on]http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/gaming-graphics-charts-q3-2008/compare,794.html?prod[2254]=on&prod[2108]=on&prod[2112]=on

Through this it looks like its good, but is it good upgrade, my Monitor resolution is 1440x900.

Can i play all games like RE5 etc at high settings with AA off with it, please tell.

Solution
I don't think GTA 4 will run in high settings due to your CPU(Dual cores are insufficient).

Rest it should run all the games at 1440X900. Some with high settings and some with medium-low settings.

But since you're getting it for $35 only, just get it, use it for a while(as long as it runs games at that resolution ), and then sell it!!

i am getting it around 35$, so should i go for it?? Will i be able to play games like RE5, GTA IV, Conviction etc at high settings without any AA? & do i need to upgrade my PSU, Geforce 9400 GT works fine with my current CPU...????

35$ is an awesome price for that card.
It will run games at that resolution for a while. I would say that you should go for it!

$35 for a 4670?! wow that's awesome :D
All GPU limited games will run on high setting on your resolution but in some games like GTA IV which benefit from a faster CPU(And also it isn't very well optimized either)you may need to run it on medium settings(however its said that a patch has come for it which gives FPS boost)

Dual core is "sufficient", but it could hold the game back. I played the game on an E8400 (3GHz) and a 8800 GTS 512MB and it was playable.

i am able to play GTA IV with 1280x1024 with some of settings to low and some to medium, with my dual core & some games like Gears of War, Burnout Paradise, MW2 with 4AA at 1440x900 without any lag with 9400 GT.

I'll try it on Windows XP.

Settings might have been medium (most probably custom), not sure, but I played at 1680x1050. It wasn't super-smooth, but playable without me loosing my temper once. You also have to understand that some display settings have higher costs than other without necessarily giving a noticeable difference. Oh, and I played on Vista 64 bits with 4GB of RAM (which is another thing GTA IV like: RAM).
