Im quite confused t buy the best card fo gaming for rs 3000 INR.Which one is the best....

Many of us here are not familiar with the currencies and market values within different countries (there are many!).

Give us a list of cards within your pricerange, and we might have an easier time in suggesting one. Or you can wait and hope that someone familiar with your market and currency can weigh in on the matter.

I'd go for the 9400gt.
what are you planning on using it for? none of thoswe will be gaming at high resolutions, and certainly not any modern games.

either the 8600gt or the 9400gt would be the most powerful, though the 9400 is also slightly newer tech.

This shouldn't be in the ATI section, but I would take one of the 8600GTs. What resolution and for what uses?

I believe you are thinking of the 9500GT. The 9400GT is much weaker than the 8600GT and not a good recommendation.
@OP: I'd wait until someone from India replies to point you in the right direction as to what is really the best card you can get for that kind of money.

yes you are right. i just looks at some comparisons and i had the comparative performance wrong. the 8600 is certainly more powerful.

Lol I was about to say welsh. The 8600GTs are better most definatly. The 9xxxs are just renamed 8xxxs.

I remembered seeing this site used for India and it seems that they have HD4650s within your budget;

Nooooooooo, do not best answer that response! If you follow that advice and actually get the 9400GT you will be very disappointed. It is definitely not a good gaming card. The person who wrote it even agrees he made a mistake later on in the thread if you read the whole thing.

9400 is a renamed 8400. Go with the 8600, it defiantly is not "older" maybe like fan wise but who cares.

at aznsshinobi: isn't the 9400 also on a smaller process? either way though, you are right about the 8600 being superior.

I don't care about the best answer I just hope it doesn't mean he decided to actually get a 9400GT.
