How to troubleshoot a RAID 5 array

Hi everyone.

So this may not be the best place to get real troubleshooting done but I'm not sure where else to start. So if anyone can direct me to a better forum for this sort of issue I'd be super appreciative as well.

I've had a RAID 5 array of 4 x 2TB hard drives running for about a year now. They're running off of a PCI-e raid controller made by Syba (SY-PEX40008). Everything has been running fine until just recently the Array Manager window that pops up when the computer is booted notifies me that one of the drives has been orphaned. The array is no longer accessible through windows either.

Now my understanding was that the array should continue to work even once one drive has gone down so this is confusing me. As far as I can tell, all the drives are still in working order. They're all recognized by windows during the boot sequence. When I look at the array in Windows Disk Management the array shows up as "Missing" in the disk column and "Failed" in the volume column. I have the option to reactivate the volume or the disk but neither option seems to have any effect.

I'm unsure how to proceed from here. Any help you can offer or even letting me know where I can go to find help would be appreciated.

Thanks
