4770 as its faster, the 5670 has DX11, but is to slow to be able to use it effectively.
May 9, 2010 10:10:10 AM

HD4770 is faster...
May 9, 2010 10:35:03 AM

As all others have said, the XFX Radeon HD 4770 would be faster.
May 9, 2010 11:38:45 AM

Jup, the 4770 is a better card.
May 9, 2010 11:41:07 AM

ok i will go with the 4770

thank you

ps: could you tell me more about the card?
May 9, 2010 12:10:21 PM

What do you want to know exactly?
It is a decent card for 1680x1050 resolution. At resolutions below that it should be very good. It was the last card released in the HD4xxx series and is the only one of that series built on a 40nm process which makes the card considerably more power efficient.
May 9, 2010 12:15:39 PM

is better than other card in the same range price? 9800, 9600.....?do you know a good review whit some comparisons between more models?
May 9, 2010 12:56:26 PM

The Radeon HD 4770 consistently beats the GeForce 9800GT, however, it does lose to the HD 4850 and GeForce 9800GTX+/GTS 250 in most games.
May 9, 2010 1:16:54 PM

Yeah, both the HD4850 and GTS 250 are a bit better. The HD4850 is also often a very similar price and can be a better buy but it does also use a good amount more power as does the GTS 250. What kind of power supply is in your computer? Also what is your monitor's native resolution?

directx11 is better than directx10 but if want paly game on directx11 you must buy 5670.your choice depends on what resoulation use in gaming and direcx.my opinion is 5670 because directx has more effect than resoulation in gaming performancing.if you want resoulation buy 4770.more information is here:

May 9, 2010 3:33:54 PM

My screen resolution is 1680X1050.But i'm not a hardcore gamer just ocasionaly gaming i herd that the 5670 pretty much sucks at dx11 so i must chose between fancy dx11 or good dx10,dx9 graphics.
May 9, 2010 4:56:06 PM

I have the XFX 4770 512mem, it o/c's very high, if you choose. I get great FPS in everything at that resolution. Its a diamond in the rough, :)
I can game at 900/1000 clocks and benchmark even higher 940/1040 where it turns in almost unbelievable #'s.
May 9, 2010 5:56:43 PM

Hmm tomorrow i must to chose witch one i will buy any alternative from nvidia a the same price range?
May 9, 2010 6:28:53 PM

ok,i know it but in low resoulation like (1024*768) has good perfomance in directX11.but you must choose between 1680*1050 with direcx (9or10) or 1024*768 with directX11.in next years the game support directx11.if you better performance you must the graphic card that has directx11.5770 cost 165$.look at this example : 4870X2 is better than 5850 in resoulation but 5850 has support direcX11 and has good fps.if a gamer want performance in gaming he(or she) choose 5850.
so my suggestion is 5770.

May 9, 2010 6:49:51 PM

okkkkkkk,i think you want to upgrade your system.so what do you want buy 4770?for gaming?
May 9, 2010 6:55:24 PM

The old one is dead so...

I use my pc to

Occasionally gaming (the newest games -high rated one Just Cause 2 etc)
Occasionally Photo-shop
Movies most of the time

i use my pc to play games that are not released for xbox
May 9, 2010 7:05:24 PM

ok,if you want for this i don't suggest you the 4770.in photo shop cpu has more effect than graphic card.movies!!!!so you important work with graphic card is gaming.and you play new game so ........ you know.
May 9, 2010 7:21:35 PM

I don't use photoshop to much just some fixes in photos that's all
May 9, 2010 8:46:00 PM

i said that too.(game is more important than photoshop for you for choosing graphic card)so if you want to buy a graphic card for new game it must be upgraded with the last technologys that directx 11 is one of them.
May 9, 2010 9:35:25 PM

DX11 in of itself does not add performance. Its especially not important on lower end cards that are using all of the cards hardware to play at 'normal' quality. The 5670 is a entry level card, with only 400sp, which directly compares to the 5770 which has 800.
The 5750 has 720sp. The 4770 has 640, but it has about the same rop's , tmu's as the 5770. Where has the 5670 has only half again what the 5770 has.
This chart is very informative.

The 4770 is compared against the 5770+5750 in the launch article of the 5770

In that directx11 influence on the game graphics is not any doubt. The difference in images from the game in the second mode has been quite obvious. directx is always an important factor in the animation. Whatever is above animation is closer to reality.
new game support directx 11 and they will play better with that till directx10.

dirt2 is the new game that support directx11.next game will much better with directx 11 than directx10
May 10, 2010 1:04:41 AM

He has a 1680x1050 monitor and a $100 budget. DX11 is nice but it's simply doesn't fit that equation.
What you should be looking at are the HD4770 you already mentioned and the HD4850 and GTS 250 like I mentioned earlier(make sure you don't buy a card your PSU can't handle.)
May 10, 2010 12:27:53 PM

ok i know it but if he buy 4770 he must change it next year for the new game and and you put 100$ in ashcan.
May 10, 2010 2:15:41 PM

They aren't going to be making DX11 only games for at least a couple of years. It will take that long for most people to have DX11 cards and for XP to finally be a thing of the past. More importantly though it will take new consoles for it to happen on any game that isn't a PC exclusive which rules out almost every major game. So your prediction is off by a few years.
As an example there are very few DX10 only games. The only major one I can think of is the recently released Just Cause 2 and DX10 has been around for over 3 years.
May 10, 2010 3:34:28 PM

Thank YOU guys!!! Really help-full

That is true jyjjy is right dx11 is just a fancy thing for now.So i'm gonna buy the 4770 wednesday
May 10, 2010 7:25:07 PM

no i am not agree with you.because most of the game in 2010 released supported DX10.1.in 2011 ati 6000 series will be relaesed.also most of game that exist in ps3 and xbox360 support dx10 like devil may cry4.i have too in my pc and play it on DX 9 and DX10 that DX10 is much better than DX9.when the newest graphic card like GTX480 GTX470 and 5000 series support the DX11 you said that the future game will not support that?
May 10, 2010 7:43:45 PM

I never said that. I said there wont be DX11 only games for a few years. Until there are new consoles almost all games will be playable on DX9 hardware. They may look better to varying degrees in DX11 but you will certainly be able to play them on an HD4770.
May 10, 2010 11:25:12 PM

okkkk.i said they will play better on dx11.0!!!
May 10, 2010 11:35:20 PM

I believe you actually said something about throwing away the card :p
May 11, 2010 12:13:53 PM

no read again i said throw away money!!!!
May 11, 2010 12:22:28 PM
