Changing BIOS-MBR to UEFI-GPT

Hi, I have recently found out that when I installed Win7 I installed it in BIOS mode using a MBR file system and as my PC is UEFI capable i want to use UEFI- mode, GPT. But i dont want to have to reinstall my programs and file/setting and stuff :/ is there anyway to convert it?

or would doing a fresh install in UEFI mode and then restoring it from a system image from my computer now work?

The question is, is there enough of a benefit of switching to GPT to merit the amount of work it's bound to take. The answer is a resounding no.
