Hello... so I was installing SQL Server Web platform... all was going well... had to reboot after Visual installed... install continued. Then, out of nowhere, the computer shuts down like the power went out (but didn't). I turned it back on and get the F8 screen where I can start in safe mode etc. I chose start as normal and WHAM off it goes again. Turn it back on, and get the same F8 screen and I select Last know Config that worked, pressed enter... and BAM - off it goes again. I try one more time and highlight SAFE MODE... press enter.. and Off it goes again! WTF? Anyone have any idea what to do here?

From the F8 screen
enable boot logging. It will log to ntbtlog.txt so you can look at that for an idea of where the problem is.

Disable automatic restart on failure, that should net you a BSOD with some hopefully usefull info; at least give you the module thats crashing.
