Which card for an eyefinity setup

Title says it. If I am going to be playing at 5040 x 1050 with triple 22" monitors which card would give me the best value? Is the 5870 worth it over the 5850? Also what about nvidia's GTX 4xx series, are they going to have their own version of "eyefinity"? I am currently running triple screen on SLI gtx 275's but can't play my games across all 3 screens so I am wanting to upgrade.

More about which card eyefinity setup
  1. I'd go with the 5850 or 5870. You will need one display port monitor to run three monitors, or you can get the eyefinity 6 version of the 5870. I'd probably just buy the 5850 though.
  2. holy *** just found this forum http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?&m=297131&print=true&mpage=3

they say there is an nvidia version of eyefinity that is coming out in mid may called the 256 driver and will support gt200gpu and gt400. so I guess I dont have to upgrade my graphics card :)
  3. Okay, just wait then... :)
  4. I'd still say get a new gpu if you can. Since the 275s are old hat, you won't be able to max out many games at that resolution. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, Eyefinity is an ATI proprietary. Nvidia's version might not be the same as ATI's.
