Which of these two systems has a better quality graphics card, and which would do a better job overall at streaming media from online? How noticable would the difference in quality between the two be?

Gateway DX4831-01e (128 MB Video Memory)

Asus Essentio CG5275-AR003 (32 MB Video Memory)

From the Cnet specs it looks like the Gateway has the better card, what's throwing me is that Best Buy's site says the Asus has "Up to 1759MB shared" video memory. I want a system for primarily media storage and viewing, but also with occasional streaming web content. Thank you!

Steaming media hardly requires graphical or cpu power; it's more dependent on your Net connection.
""Up to 1759MB shared video memory" , that's just a gimmick. You'l be equally off with both the systems. Go for the 2nd one though, coz then you do have the freedom to add a card of your choice.

WRONG, DONT GET THE ASUS stats for cpu ect are wrong, a better bet is the gateway 4831-03 comes with an actual video card with 1GB of its own memory has bluray and upconverts dvds as well. Frys has on sale
