She specifically wants the Aopen AX34-U? What chipset is that, the 815? Will another vendor like Asus do?

Does she want it for her own personal use? Maybe you can convince her that is out of date and to get a faster motherboard.

I'm not aware of alot of places either online or public retail that sell old computer parts. You <b>might</b> be able to find one on half.com, however they are a subdivison of eBay, they were bought out a few years ago (kind of like Paypal). I don't know if their item listings are the same as normal eBay

yup, that mb specifically, its a via based board....extremely stable that one was....i upgraded her to a msi board with ddr and amd xp and it occasionally freezes, still trying to work out the bugs,,,
