Hello!

I am new to this forum and I have been planning to build this computer for awhile now. I just want to know if there are any improvements that can be made to the build before I decide to finalize the build and start purchasing. (The computer is mainly for gaming, cost about ~$900CAD at the moment.)

Here is the build:

CASE : COOLEMASTER CM 690 II ADVANCED
CPU : AMD PHENOM X4 965BE
HS : COOLEMASTER HYPER 212+
TIM : TUNIQ TX-2 THERMAL COMPOUND
MOBO : GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5
RAM :G.SKILL F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM RIPJAWS
GPU : XFX Nvidia 9500+ (Planning to use old GPU for now ...)
PSU : CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX
HDD : SAMSUNG SPINPOINT F3
OPTICAL : SONY OPTIARC 24x DVD/CD RW

Any suggestions or comments are much appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

The build looks good, you might want to just go with a 955 and OC it and save a little coin. get a new GPU soon :)

1) 955 is the same chip as the 965 for $20 cheaper
2) this mobo is $85 cheaper, still crossfires at x16/x16 if you so desire, and i can't imagine you need the additional features on the 890FX one
3) a 750W PSU is overkill for this setup, this 550W seems like a good bet
4) look for combo deals and consider putting the savings from those & above recommendations toward a 5850
