Computer says that the disc is Not Intialized

Hello, So i have a Freeagent Go 500 GB External hard drive and when i connect it to my computer it dosnet show up in explorer, so i open up compter management and is comes up with a disc and it says that its not intialized and Unknown.

Read his Step Five on how to Initialize (Partition and Format) a brand new empty HDD using Disk Management. This is necessary for ALL new HDD's.
