Will this handle 1080p (file-based or flash/web based)?

Dell Dimension 5150

Pentium D 820 2.8G Dual core CPU

1G DDR2 Memory, upgradabel to 4G

NVIDIA Geforce 7600 256M

I'd hate to scoop this up and find out that 1080p playback sucks. I'm a bit confused about the minimum requirements for CPU/video card parings. I'm sure both are a factor, but, again, I'm not sure what the min reqs are for these two components. Thanks in advance.

  1. There are lots better options. How much will that Dell cost you? What other options do you have?
  2. I should be able to get it on Craigslist for less than $150. I'm looking for the cheapest solution possible. In a nutshell, I want to be able to play 1080p video from a file (such as mts from my 1080p camcorder) or flash/web-based 1080p video. Blueray playback is not all that important, since I already have a separate bluray player. It would be nice if the video card had an HDMI output, but I'm guessing I can just buy a DVI to HDMI converter instead.

Any advice? Again, price is important. I'm hooking this up to my TV & I plan on buying a wireles keybaord with onboard trackball or something to that effect.
