Why dows my Benq 24" LCD not detect a signal unless its cycled?

My Benq 24" monitor will not pick up a signal from a cold boot or out of suspension unless it is turned off then on or the auto detect is pressed. Running a DVI cable to a 285. Any ideas?

Have you tried connecting it to the other DVI port?

Did you manually select Digital Input instead of Analog?

HDMI/DVI = Digital

VGA = Analog

Your monitor is probably defaulted on Analog and won't detect the digital input until you do the auto configure thing.

no I have it manually set to dvi.

Any other ideas? Anyone if I can update my LCD firmware?
