Optical Drive help

Solution
actually, you should have no problems with any DVD Burner, it's mainly the software/apps they give you that may not be compatible with windows 7. You would then just need to get newer versions of the apps to run with windows 7.

Solution
It will work fine with 7, if its Vista compatible there is a 99.9% chance it will work with 7 without problems, even my old DVD burner that came out before Vista works fine with 7.

You dont need two drives for your average system, that single one can read and write every optical media except for bluray and HD-DVD so you shouldnt need anything other than that.
