I recently opened up and cleaned out my Radeon HD 4870x2 after noticing that the fan was cranking 100% under moderate load with idle temps in the high 80 celsius range. After cleaning out all the dust on the heatsinks and applying new thermal paste to both chips, I sealed it up and booted up my system. It now idles mid-50, which is where it should be, and the fan never cranks when it doesn't need to.

However, GPU-Z reports that the MEMIO temperatures while playing StarCraft II beta get as high as 103.5 celsius! Other temps are fine (main GPU, shadercore, etc). Under full load, the MEMIO temperature hovers between 100 and 103. I haven't noticed any graphics corruption or system powering down. Is this too hot?
