Ordering parts for a new build:
MB: GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD7
Amd 6 core etc.
I will be running 2x5850's or 3x5770 not sure yet
Question is I want to run 3 monitors....I know only one card is active for connection.
I will be running the new Viewsonic 27" 1ms (HDMI) and 2-20" dell ultra sharp (DVI)
can I achieve this just by hooking up the 2 DVI and 1 HDMI? Not looking to "span" screens just want them to be separate.

I can't find the info I'm looking for as all Eyefinity info seem to be for 3-6 into one.

Thanks for any help

If you are looking @ an AMD build, you might consider a motherboard that has hybrid capable integrated graphics. Adding 1 ATI card that is Hybrid crossfire capable should get you to the 3 monitors you want without multiple discrete cards or needing to use the display port for the 3rd monitor.

I've also had success there w/ an nVidia 630i chipset and an EVGA 8400GS card. That particular set-up allows for up to 4 monitors.
