Hello Buddy 21;
As a $350 low power budget laptop it's not terrible. It's better than those $300 'netbooks' (barely).
The single core Celeron 900 CPU is the weakest link in the package.
The rest of the parts are pretty much standard fare: 2GB RAM/250GB HDD/DVD burner/15.6" 1366x768 LCD/Wifi wireless
I couldn't find any reviews on that specific model but I did run across a HP Compaq Presario CQ60-215DX
with a more powerful dual core Athlon X2 QL-62 CPU.
The reviewer cautioned "As stripped-down as a laptop gets, the Compaq Presario CQ60-215DX is saddled with slow performance and a weak battery."
For checking email or surfing websites it's probably OK. For doing both at the same time? You'll need some patience, probably.
For just $50 more lenovo G550(2958-9PU) NoteBook
with dual core T4500 2.30GHz CPU, 4GB of RAM and the rest of the usual stuff is a much more powerful computer.
The HP website has Compaq CQ62Z models @ $410 with an upgraded Athlon Dual-Core N330 CPU that would be pretty good as well.
