Mbr problem Tags: Hard Drives Storage Last response: August 11, 2012 7:18 PM in Storage Share samdrury August 11, 2012 6:11:59 PM Hi and Many thanks I have two hard drives in my computer both 500gb. I cloned the master drive onto the slave and when trying to start from the slave drive I get the message: A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart. When i do this it just keeps coming back to that screen. I was told that the MBR needs to be rewritten or fixed - would that be right? I have hirens boot cd and am running winows 7 can I fix this with hirens boot cd or the windows 7 disc?
